Oil Cleansing

Oil Cleansing utilizes vegetable oils . In my case I mix castor oil, sunflower oil and a bit of almond oil to cleanse my face. If you have oily skin it is recommended that you use more of the castor oil and if you have drier skin you add less castor oil. I would say the castor oil in my mix would constitute about 40%, the almond 10% and the sunflower oil 50%.   Now the best way to cleanse with the oil would be to put the mixture onto your already clean hands, then rub it onto your face and let it sit for a couple of seconds. Ideally you should have a clean face towel and some hot water ready so as to wipe off the oil . Make sure that the towel is not scalding hot when placing onto your face.  This is extremely therapeutic and your skin thanks you for it by becoming soft and it glows. Now with my hectic lifestyle I normally don’t have time to go through this spa treatment. I usually end up washing off the oil with black soap and this works for me. The beauty with the oil cleansing is it takes off all the makeup and dirt and leaves the skin well cleansed.

My Skin Care Regimen

Growing up my skin was plagued with acne from the age of 12 and it cleared completely upon completion of campus. There was no product I did not try. Some had salicylic acid, others benzoyl peroxide and not to forget those that had sulphur. They did not seem to work for me.When I tried natural products such as aloe gel and tea tree my skin cleared up within no time. I was then converted to natural products. Posted is a picture of my current products which I will take you through.
My products comprise of a scrub , oils for oil cleansing, shea butter, black soap, rose water, aloe propolis and sunscreen.
